Drill bit sharpening & reconditioning

Restore the edge. Extend tool life.

Specialized sharpening for HSS and carbide drill bits, backed by practical machining knowledge and engineering support.

Specialized services

Give valuable drills another cutting cycle.

Reconditioning can help reduce drill consumption and get more value from tooling already in your operation. Feasibility depends on drill condition, material, size and geometry.

01

HSS Drill Sharpening

Sharpening for high-speed steel drills in common presentations, including selected conical and split-point geometries.

02

Carbide Drill Evaluation

Carbide drill sharpening is reviewed by work order to determine condition, geometry and project feasibility.

03

Large HSS Drills

HSS drills up to 2½ inches may be supported. Drills above 1⅛ inches require evaluation before acceptance.

A clear service path

Inspect before promising.

Every job should begin with the information needed to determine whether sharpening is practical and appropriate.

01

Identify

Share drill material, diameter, quantity, geometry and application.

02

Evaluate

Review condition and determine whether the tooling can be reconditioned.

03

Sharpen

Restore the agreed geometry using the appropriate process.

04

Return

Coordinate pickup or shipping details and return the completed order.
